Business and Office Environment

Business Management has had the status of an autonomous science for a long time, yet it cannot exist in isolation. Business Management developed with various other Business Management-orientated disciplines into a science with a unique body of knowledge and professional management enabling it to manage any office environment. The original meaning of the word €˜office€™ was €˜act of kindness€™ or €˜service to your fellow human being€™. Today the word is used to indicate a room or a building. In a very small business, the office might consist only of one room in a house, or simply a table, chair and telephone. In a large business, however, there may be many offices with a head office in a completely different building or even province.
