STUDY GUIDELINES IN CLINICAL SOLVING FOR PRIMARY CARE CLINICIANS

R452,17

Category:

The development of these study guidelines in Clinical Problem Solving was in response to a request
by the late Mrs. Rene Hanekom. She was a nurse clinician trainer. She was concerned about
providing training in more advanced clinical skills particularly for nurses working in isolated or difficult
conditions such as mobiles or rural clinics. Because of their isolation, it is often difficult for them to
attend formal courses to gain the necessary knowledge and skills. She was anxious to provide
nurses a method of training in clinical problem solving skills which would be suitable for self learning
and distance learning.
It is hoped that these notes will address this need and help to provide greater support to staff working
in isolated or difficult areas, so that they can improve their own work satisfaction and provide
improved care to the communities they serve.
