Alex had always wanted a dog of his own. But when he chose a spotted spaniel from the local SPCA, he got a lot more than he had bargained for. Just before the long winter holidays this unusual dog started to make plans to take Alex with him on a secret mission that would take the two of them across Europe . . . with a couple of thugs hot on their heels.
